Ah... how we love the bold graphics of modern Scandinavian design. On a recent trip to the lovely Mjolk in Toronto's Junction neighbourhood we came across the tea towel above and could not resist its charms. Produced by Kauniste -- a collective of contemporary Finnish designers who hand print gorgeous tea towels inspired by the designs of the 1950s, this particular towel Keittiössä was designed by Leena Kisonen.

Once we were home, the internets revealed a bounty of beautiful tea towels including the above: Kitchen Art Collection towel by Maria Dahlgren.

...the adorable Lotta Kulhorn designed Gunilla Apple towel.

... and the Sill (Herring) towel designed by Marianne Nilsson in the 1950s for revered Swedish textile producer Almedahls.
