Knit Your Own Mild and Wooly Pets

[top and middle images: Guardian.co.uk]

Remember Shannon Gerard's Plants You Can't Kill and Holly Procktor's Terrariums's from Issue3? These no-maintenance plants got us thinking about creating hand-crafted animal companions. We found two free online patterns for knitting your own pups at the Guardian. The Jack Russel pattern is from Sally Muir and Jo Osborne 's cool book, Best in Show: Knit Your Own Dog and the corgi comes from Fiona Goble's Knit Your Own Royal Wedding.

We also came across this super easy Labrador from etsy shop Mamma4Earth. We're thinking that a pack of these ’lil doggies would make a fine mobile or pretty ornaments.

Excellent product. These would be a great collection for animal lovers. I am planning to make one for decoration for a dog boarding cleveland.
