Covet Garden 12 Sneak Peek: Delicious Popcorn Snack

[image: Jessica Reid, recipe: Nicole Young]

One more day until the next issue of Covet Garden goes live! Vicki, our featured homeowner, is beloved by friends for holding open air movie nights. Inspired by a night gazing at the starts under the stars, we asked our contributing foodie, food stylist Nicole Young to create a simple recipe for a savoury popcorn snack. Nicole has prepared a whole movie night menu in the next issue, so don't forget to check it out on Wednesday.

Brown Butter and Rosemary Popcorn
1 cup (250 mL) popcorn kernels
¼ cup  (60 mL) butter
1 tbsp (15 mL) finely chopped fresh rosemary
1 tsp (5 mL) each kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper

Use hot air popper to make popcorn. Pour into large bowl.

In small skillet, cook butter over medium heat until it melts and just starts to brown. Add rosemary and shake to completely coat rosemary. Drizzle this all over the hot popcorn and toss to combine. Sprinkle with salt and fresh cracked pepper.

This is best served immediately. Makes about 4 cups/1L

Once i tasted a popcorn snack with butter, it's so tasty and just melts in mouth. But never tried it with rosemary. I really hope this is a signature recipe or snack which every one must try. So simple and easy to make.
